Spring League 2025

• 8 player maximum per team to maximize playing time

• 4 on 4 games on 8.5 ft hoops, size 5 ball

• All games and practices take place at Buckets Basketball School

• Coached by Buckets Basketball School coaches for all practices and games

• One practice and one game each week, some dates omitted due to holidays

• EBOA (Edmonton Basketball Officials Association) Officials

• Edmonton Youth Basketball Association modifications 11U modifications and rules

League Structure

Our main goal is to provide a fun learning experience for all players. We hope to organize a competitively balanced league allowing for close and fairly played games. We will not be running a tiered league. We hope to achieve this by balancing the skill level of the players representing each team. Simply put, we do not want to put the all of highest skilled players or those new to the game on one team. We want players to play with their family and friends, but sometimes it is also fun and challenging to play against a friend with similar skill.

Team Structure

Teams will be comprised of players requesting the same practice time slot. Space for 16 boys and 8 girls will be available in each time slot. During the registration process we will ask registrants to identify their skill level, identify immediate family members registered in the league, and one friend they would like to play with. We will honour family requests to play together and do our best to connect friends.
