League Structure

The goal is to provide a fun learning experience for all players. We hope to organize a competitively balanced league allowing for close and fairly played games. We will not be running a tiered league. We hope to achieve this by balancing the skill level of the players representing each team. Simply put, we do not want to put the all of highest skilled players or those new to the game on one team. We want players to play with their family and friends, but sometimes it is also fun and challenging to play against a friend with similar skill.

• Mixed teams

• Pre-season skill evaluation

• One practice and one game each week

• Friday evening games

• 6 player maximum per team, 3 minute shifts​, equal playing time

• Mini-court, 3 on 3 games on 8.5 ft hoops, size 5 ball

• All games and practices take place at Buckets Basketball School

• Coached and officiated by Buckets Basketball School coaches for all practices and games

• Game jerseys and equipment provided

Team Structure

Teams will be comprised of players requesting the same practice time slot. Space for two teams be available in each time slot. During the registration process we will ask registrants to identify their skill level, identify immediate family members registered in the league, and one friend they would like to play with. We will honour family requests to play together and do our best to connect friends.

Pre-Season evaluation

All players will arrange a time for a pre-season evaluation. The evaluation will be used to place players on teams to create league balance.
